Mandarin Airlines to launch new Kaoshiung- Seoul flights

Mandarin Airlines, a subsidiary or China Airlines, will inaugurate charter flights between Kaohsiung and Seoul on October 29, before offering regular four-times-weekly flights on December 1.

The inaugural charter flight, AE 7396, will depart from Kaohsiung International Airport at 16:05 on October 29, and will arrive in Seoul at 19:40. The return flight, AE 7397, will depart from Seoul at 09:00 the following morning, and arrive in Kaohsiung at 11:00am.

A new, fuel-efficient MDA Embraer E190 jet will be used on the new route, offering single-class cabin service with 104 Economy seats.

Preferred adds to Beijing portfolio

Preferred Hotel Group has added Legendale Hotel Beijing as the newest member of the Preferred Hotels & Resorts collection of luxury properties.

The centrally located, 390-room hotel adjoins 79 serviced apartments and 126 private residential apartments.

Island Shangri-La’s new DOSM

Don Lau has recently been appointed director of sales and marketing of Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong.

Prior to his appointment, Lau held managerial positions with the Marriott group from 2003 to September 2008. He was director of sales at Shangri-La’s Kerry Centre Hotel, Beijing from 2001 to 2003, and originally at Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong from 1997 to 2001.
