Welcome to Beijing, where the capital, political, and cultural center of China lies. We meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. After check-in, you have free time to relax and recover from jetlag.
 Day 2 Beijing (B/L/-)
After breakfast, begin the day’s activity with a visit to Tian’anmen Square, the symbolical heart of China and gathering place for the masses. It is the biggest public square in the world, which can hold one million people. Having a free walk there, imagining the great historic events of the 20th century took place there. You will also see legendary landmarks including the Great Hall of the People and the towering 125 foot granite obelisk, Monument to the Peoples Heroes, honoring those who died in revolution.
Walking across the Golden River Bridge, enter the Forbidden City, the inner sanctum and palace where for centuries Chinese emperors ruled their world. It has 9000-room maze of courtyards, places, and ceremonial halls, where 24 emperors used to live. Forbidden City was indeed a forbidden place, where commoners were kept out for nearly 500 years in the past. Tour the palace and imagine the mystery, intrigue and incredible power that reigned here.
 In the afternoon, pay a visit to Temple of Heaven, the place where the emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties worshipped heaven and prayed for good harvest.
Day 3 Beijing (B/L/-)
Today’s highlight is the visit of the Great Wall. Spending about 1.5 hours to be transferred outside city to the surrounding countryside to visit the Badaling Great Wall, one of the most remarkable feats of mankind, built over 2,000 years ago. You will be able to climb and walk one of the best preserved sections of the ancient wall, admiring the splendid mountains scenery.
After lunch at local restaurant, visit the fabled Ming Tombs, the resting places of thirteen emperors and their splendid treasures, passing down the Spirit Way, a road lined with statues of dignitaries, as well as huge elephants, lions, camels and horses, you will encounter the marble tombs of the Ming Dynasty emperors. Visit one of the spectacular tombs- Dingling featuring an underground palace.
Day 4 Beijing (B/L/-)
 After breakfast, visit the Yonghe Lamasery (Lama Temple). Have a unique Hutong Trishaw tour in the afternoon, Hutongs are a kind of ancient city alley or lane that is typical in Beijing. Most of them are found around the Forbidden City, and many were built during the three dynasties of Yuan, Ming and Qing. Today, the Hutong is a living museum of Beijing history showing the traditional lifestyle of Beijing people. Tricycles hold two people and peddled by an experienced bicyclist. Stops are made to visit a local family and see first-hand how the people of Beijing live.
Day 5 Beijing / Chengde (B/L/-)

In the morning, you will be transferred to the railway station for the train to Chengde(245km, about 4 hours). Upon arrive in Chengde, visit Mountain Resort. Situated in the northern part of Chengde, the Mountain Resort, also called the Temporary Imperial Dwelling Palace in Rehe, was built by the Emperors Kangxi and Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty (1644 A.D-1911 A.D) for the sake of stabilizing the frontier region and maintaining the unity of multi-nationalities. This large resort is considered the most remarkable imperial garden still existing today in China.
 Day 6 Chengde / Beijing (B/L/-)
Depart from your hotel in the morning to visit the Putuo Zongcheng Temple. Built in 1771, the Putuo Zongcheng Temple is a most resplendent and sweeping one. It covers an area of 220,000 square meters. And this temple was built in great similarity to Potala Palace in Lhasa Tibet in architectural style. That is why it is also called the lesser Potala Palace.
Then visit the Puning Temple. The Puning Temple (with its popular name Big Buddha Temple) is located in the north-west of Chengde city. The main attractions inside the temple are Bell and Drum Towers, Pavilions, Heaven King Palace (Tian Wang Dian) and the Daxiong Baodian. Built in 1755 A.D (QING Dynasty), the temple shows the respect of the Qing Dynasty to the Minorities. It is a most grandiose palace group. It is an architectural masterpiece of BAROQUE style .It has been placed on "a catalogue of world culture heritage" by UN in 1981.
After lunch at a local restaurant, take the afternoon train back to Beijing.
Day 7 Beijing / Departure (B/L/-)
After breakfast, you will be escorted to the airport for your flight to your next destination.
